Happened to find The Galway Film Fleadh's program that is up on their webite and was sort of taken back to see the still of Pest and my name as "Director" beside it! Also it was cool seeing all the other animations from my course up there too. Really looking forward to going to Galway soon and seeing everyone again!

At long last........its over.......done and dusted........WAYHAY! Its been a long and difficult year but I made it through! A 20,000 word thesis on silence and a 3 minute, 3D film about a farmer and a giant frog......what was I thinking :D Saying that, I did very much enjoy doing both. They had there ups and downs but sure its the same with anything and I'm glad with my decisions and what was produced.

At the moment I am fixing up the film and filling in the gaps for the exhibition show that will take place on the 4th of June. Looking forward to that, its a good oppertunity to showcase my work and filmmaking abilities to possible employers and is a good day out for the family. Another cool thing is that the college has setup a graduate website for all graduating students to showcase there work and whatnot. Mine can be found here: Darragh Duffy - Animation

This is a test production still for Pest. At the moment I'm trying to see how painted backgrounds will combine with the 3D. It looks alright at the moment, I have to concentrate more on the Background Matte Paintings and props such as the crops in the foreground, which will be both painted and 3D...

Showreel 08/09

This is a short showreel I did for a animators networking group known as Pegbar who are setting up a blogsopt for any Irish animators out there to show their work. Really good idea and should be beneficial in the future...

On me summer holidays now. Thank God...needed that break! Was over in Cairo for 9 days in the meantime. Amazing place! I went down into the cahmbers deep beneath the pyramids of Giza, went on a camel ride around ancient ruins and other mad stuff like that. Excellent holiday!

At the moment I'm doing an animation for my dad for a major presentation he has up in Sweden. Its challanging as I have to do it in a week and a bit, so I have alot to do over the next week!
